Angel Putney Noe', BSN, RN

Angel is registered nurse, herbalist & teacher. She is currently working at Natural Family Health & Integrative Medicine in North Stonington as an office manager, medicine maker & community health educator. She is also now offering CranioSacral Therapy & Reiki.

Her journey as an herbalist started many years ago as she travelled around the country. She learned about using common plants for first aid and acute care needs. She worked with friends & family as they needed formulating blends and teaching others how to make their own medicine. Years later she attended the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine as an apprentice in 2003 to further her education. Directly following this amazing program she enrolled in a nursing program to go on and earn her BSN at the University of Southern Maine and becoming a Registered Nurse.

She has dedicated her nursing career to working with underserved populations locally & internationally. Working at clinics & community health projects such as the Health Care for the Homeless Clinic; Partners for Rural Heath in the Dominican Republic, Maine Migrant Heath, Portland Community Health Center, Positive Health Care & Frannie Peabody Center. Through her work within the field of HIV she has worked providing primary care to people living with HIV, as well as working as an HIV Medical case manager. In this role she advocated for primarily immigrant populations in Southern Maine living with HIV.

In 2013 she co-created Reclaiming our Roots Community Herbalism in Portland, ME. This project was created with social justice principles of creating affordable access to herbal education & medicine. We hosted weekly community herbalism classes & provided a by donation, sliding scale herbal apothecary for our local community. The face of Reclaiming our Roots has changed in the past few years.

In early 2016 Angel moved to CT where she continues to make medicine and work in the field of integrative medicine at Natural Family Health & Integrative Medicine She is still making medicine and teaching around the country!
